W-C Rep - MoS - Keeper - M'Hael - Amyrlin Seat - MoN

Major Role-plays are a particular role-play idea or story or situation which is played out entirely on its own board. It is more than just one thread, and usually involves many members of the Tower. They are a major part of in-depth RPing at the Tower, and are good places for character development. A Major RP is created and driven by its organizer.

When you have a role-play situation or story that is too large or complex to play out on the Day to Day, or other regular board, you should consider creating a Major role-play, and if you are tired of day-to-day role-playing and want something more violent, exciting and open, you should consider participating in a Major RP. You might find it helpful to read the Library's role-play guidelines section before you begin.

To create a major role-play you must write an email to the M'Hael and Amyrlin Seat. (Note that if you wish to use the Major Role-play you have created as a Raising Requirement, you should also check with the Master of Soldiers, Mistress of Novices, or Master of Training as appropriate.) You must include the name of the role-play, the names and emails of those running the role-play, a short description, maybe a brief outline of the plot, and the URL of the role-play board you have created. They will usually approve the role-play, and add it to this listing, but if there is a problem, they will contact you and let you know what to change. It might be best to contact them informally before you make a board, to check that the idea is suitable. As long as it's not something like "The Destruction of the White Tower" or "The Killing of the Forsaken", most RPs will be approved. Once approved and listed, feel free to post on the MMB to announce the opening of the RP at any time.

If you have trouble setting up a message board for your major RP, please consult Aleatha Sedai's page on how to create a message board

When your role-play has finished, please send an email to greytower1@yahoo.com, so it can be taken off these listings. If your role-play dies, if people lose interest, and you don't manage to keep them posting, the board you created will probably be deleted by the server. Once that happens, your role-play will be removed from here as well.

The Sevenfold Conflict

Hosted by: Caden Ives Gaidin

A bloodstained message arrives to the M'Hael and the Amyrlin Seat from seven captive Eyes & Ears, where they beg to be saved because of the services they have provided to the Grey Tower. In answer, the Sovin Tar was formed and a scouting team dispatched to find them.

However, as the main body of the rescue party set of towards the location, no one knows that the message was but a part of the things set in motion, and maybe the Sovin Tar were the fortunate ones to leave the Grey Tower.

The Shadow's Dagger

Hosted by: Dedicated Jaem Chichelta

A petitioner visits the Tower seeking help. His village, and all the surrounding villages have recently suffered a string of disappearances and murders. The Tower agrees to help, and sends out a large group of Aes Sedai, Asha'man, Warders and Learning ranks to North Ghealdean to investigate.

However, things start to become even more mysterious as the Black Ajah appears to be behind it, and the investigation force has to turn it's view to within the Tower itself.

The Seanchan Siege

Hosted by: The Amyrlin Seat

Quiet anxiety swelled when a small recruitment band from the Grey Tower ceased responding to pigeons. That is, until news reached the Tower of an approaching army. That army had long been anticipated. But the Grey Tower's small comparative size was nothing compared to the invading force and it could not stop it. It had only been a matter of time . . .

It was the Seanchan Return, at last, that marched north. They had been slowed by the great boundary of the Mountains of Mist. Now heading north from Amadicia, they had swallowed up the band of Aes Sedai and Asha'man looking for stray children. Those Sisters had been turned against their own and leashed damane. The Asha'man were slain where they stood.

It has been weeks, now. And the Tower continues under siege. Save for the Tower Guard and those who maintain a defense upon the Battlements, the rest of the Tower citizens have submerged under ground into the basements and tunnels. They fear raken, siege engines, and their damane counterparts on the surface.

The Tower is relying on its allies all over the continent, who are reached by those who can weave gateways. Yet disease is spreading and resources grow thin. Only courage keeps the Tower citizens alive, and hope keeps them sane . . .
